The fastening bracket for my cuplex-evo consists of 7 pieces; 4 springs, two identical plates intended for hooking onto the cpu-sockets "noses" and one plate for holding down the cpu-cooler.

As I can see it the two vertical plates should slide into the two slots on the big plate with the round hole. Correct?

Here is the problem: the plates are 45mm wide but the slots are 44 and 46mm wide.
After an e-mail to Chris at support I Yesterday recived an replacement bracket. But the problem is exactly the same with the new bracket.
Am I equipped with extreme bad luck or just stupid, have I totally misunderstod the way of piecing this bracket together?
I'm hoping for the last alternative since I really wants to install my water-cooling system as soon as possibly.

If anyone has experience of mounting a cuplex-evo with "3-Nasen-Halterung" please share them with me.

normally vertical mountig-plates should be able to move a little bit, so that you are able to hang them on the noses

Since I don't have a digital camera I'll use this picture to illustrate.
The vertical brackets are 45 mm wide, the slots are 46 and 44 mm wide. The wider slot is perfect, the bracket kan move/slide a bit, but the 44 mm slot is... hm one mm to short. The bracket wont fit at all.

if it really doesnt fit right, send the mounting plate back, the support should send ýou a new one, i had no problems with mounting it on my cpu...

hi,

write an email to chris@aqua-computer.de and write him your problem again.
i think you got bad luck. sometimes the producers of the brackets don't produce with correct measures. and then it happens, that the brackets wouldn't fit together.

another way is to use a tool to either wide the opening for the bracket or smaller the bracket.
something like this:
