aquaero / aquastream eine panne haden

Mittwoch, 16. Februar 2005, 06:34

I have an aquastream and aquaero and wanted to hook them together, i have the cable and everything seems to be hooked up correctly(power just to aquaero as the manual says) and when i turn everything on the status lights on the aquastream controller just stay red and green. This is my first aquacomputer setup and i dont want to be like the guy in the other thread that was just whinning about everything but this is the second pump i have had to get (controller and pump) and aquaero since the plugs for the fans did not work. I have much love for AC but my nights are sleep less. Any help would be greatly appreciated this project has been going for months now and any help would be repaid by lots of beer and women to anyone that comes to the states (san diego)

Also the firmware on the aquastream controller says 1.30 is this bad? and i have tried to just hook power to the controller and run the aquareo seperate but still the same red and green light just stay on.Sorry for spelling but its late :-[

well he says he has already tried running both of them seperately
the AS should work fine without an AE... so it seems that maybe the controller for the pump is defective?

firmware 1.3 for the pump should be fine, it´s the standard for the Rev.3.0 pumps

Well i think ill have to get another pump and controller. (third) i tried a new 10 pin connector and still get the same red and green lights(stay on no flash) i tired 2 diffrent power supplys and just hooking power to the AS controller with no luck. Used a multimeter to check the rails going into both the aquaero and aquastrem then the 10 pin connectors which i tried individually and everything is getting power.
To top it off im on my third msi nforce 4 board as well so im hoping 3 is the lucky charm when i get everything set back up, or im going to have a pretty paper wait on my desk. Thanks for the replies also when i fix everything ill post pics and anything else i find out.

before getting a new pump you should definitely write an email to the aqua-computer support!
maybe they got an alternative solution...

unfortunately i can´t help you out much since i don´t own an aquastream :-/
and it seems that only a few ppl of the regular forum members look into the english forum...

hi :)

does the aquaero work correct, when the aquastream is not connected? if it does, it's ok.

have you tried tor connect only the AS or AE (no mainboard, no hdd, nothing) to your PSU? are they working correct?

what kind of PSU do you use? how much power does it have and give to your system? maybe it is to weak?

it's also possible, that you have set the ID-jumper or working-mode-jumper on the AS-controller incorrect.

Thank you for fixing my last post, the power supply i have is a brand new 600w enermax noisetaker. When power goes to the aquareo it works fine, power just to the AS controller the red and green lights stay on, someone emailed me and said try changing the plug on the cord going from the pump that connects to the controller (were the pump gets power ) did not work! i ended up just buying a 1046 and criticool relay since this computer is for a customer, just makes me mad that i could not fix it for him. Im keeping the pump and controller so maybe later on someone will have an idea and ill be able to try it. I also sent two or three emails a week ago to AC with no respond, a person i know at it-trade in austria talked to somone at AC but did not know how to fix the problem. So im going to order one more for my next setup just i hope it works! ???
Thank you for all the comments also
Also i tried power to just the aquaero and then just to AS controller no dvd, harddrives etc. with no luck. Looked at a customers computer i built awhile back and jumpers on the AS controller he has are in the same position as mine.

Still no luck tried the controller with a diffrent aquaero and now get 3 red flashes(also controller by itself). I posted in another thread with someone who is having the same troubles. The controllers jumpers are set were they need to be and have checked this against my current working system.
Also have emailed AC for almost a week for warranty info or help with no resopnd.

The problem was on one of the boards itself. Two wires were some how arcing(embeded wires on the board) and causing the pump to fail. Dont know how but my cousin is an electronic engineer and worked on it for awhile and got it to work. Red and green lights stay on all the time but its been running for 3 days now with no problems.
But now another computer was brought back and the aquaero does not display anything fans work and pump works when hooked up. Time to start telling my customers that i just build danger den or alphacool. This is just insane and this is the third aquaero that has had this problem. AC still does not return emails and that is just sad (wish i could curse).
Is there a minumum wattage the aquaero needs to post (its not the vfd version) also his power supply is a 600watt enermax ? Thanks for the help
