When will the combined Laing DDC pump and AquaTube be available and how much? :o

Never...?!

This pump is somewhat loud and so it doesn't match AC's philosophy. Dino said it is improbable that this tube will be produced.

Sale of this pump was also stopped. It isn't in the shop anymore.

Bummer! Perhaps they might want to revisit that decision as it would make an absolutely outstanding product for export to the USA. The DDC pump is quite popular here. If you made it with G 1/4 tapped holes it would even be sweeter. ;D

Hi,
the Laing DDC-pump is really loud against a Eheim. Our philosphy is selling really quiet solutions. So we have decided to stop selling any of the DDC-pumps.
At the moment we have severeal requests for the DDC - so maybe we will sell it again with warnings in the shop. I wouldn't buy this pump.
A combination with the aquatube is very loud, because the existing resonance frequency of the motor will be amplified by the aquatube and the hole case. We are working on several new ideas for pumps and we will certainly provide you better solutions than this.

I was interested in the DDC because of its small size. What I'm afraid of is its really high (double than of the Eheim 1048) flow. The head pressure is really really high too. Could that be too much for AC blocks, or does that not really matter?

How much louder is than an Eheim 1046/Aquastream?

dont worry, the waterblocks can take even more pressure
ok, ac generally does not go for high flow rates but that doesn't mean that the blocks are going to explode if you connect them to a 'bigger' pump... ;)

and the problem with the ddc is that you can actually hear it, an aquastream on the other hand is virtually soundless 8) :)
