ok so im a noob ok but wanna know summin about this pic....

there is the cpu right and the north bridge whats the other 1 that is being cooled using a chipset cooler?

I would say that is the south-bridge.

The one with the fan is the south-bridge. A north-bridge isn't necessary because the Athlon 64 has a built-in memory controler etc.

You can't compair modern mainboards with the old north-/south-bridge style.
