Help with Tubemeter readings

Montag, 2. Juli 2007, 01:13

I currently have a tubemeter installed on my aquatube, which is mounted to an aquabay. My problem is that even though I have it hooked up to my Aquaero, it always reads 100% water level.

I already have the latest software and firmware for the aquaero, and I can see that the stick is sitting about halfway in the water, so it should be reading 50% or so, or anything less than 100% water level.

I don't know if I somehow fried the thing, but it has it's own connection to the PSU.

Currently I am running the Tubemeter, LED's, 3x 120mm YateLoons and my Aquastream pump on the Aquaero.

Anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong?

Hi,

Check the firmware of your tubemeter by conneting it directly to the USB (not via the Aquaero and associated cables) on your motherboard and running the aquasuite software. The software should display information separately about the tubemeter and check that the firmware is version 1.06. If not then you need to flash it which can only be done using this direct connection. You may need to ask for a link to this firmware if you dont have it in the aqausuite software.

Make doubly sure you have connected it up correctly using the correct cable for the link to the Aquareo, especailly if it is hard to see the tubemeter itself. On mine using the Aquaero cable connection, the number1 pin on the tubemeter (raised pcb one) has no wires out of it and the 2 black wires are connected to the number2 pin and the red ones therefore are connected to the number5 pin. The Aquaero cable connection that connects to the tubemeter has only 4 wires, some direct USB wire connections have 5 wires, so basically make sure that your red wire is connected to the number5 pin and then that should be correct.

Be very careful when changing your USB connections with these cables as incorrect connections can damage both the AC parts and MB. Best to make sure the PSU is unplugged as they remain live even when you power doen your MB on certain makes.

Can you get the LED on the tubemeter to blink via the aquasuite software.
