Problems with PWM fan control and Poweradjust

Sonntag, 10. Juni 2012, 13:02

Hi
I have two problems:
1) For some reason my PWM fans (five daisy chained) (which have been working fine up to now) are no longer controllable via the Aquaero 5. I have checked the connections, ensured channel 4 in PWM mode, and I have tried plugging in other fans (to check for fan or cable faults), but for some reason the fans are now always at 100%. Does this indicate a fault with the Aquaero 5 or I'm I missing something?
2) A common problem,.. and that is the connection of more than one poweradjust via the aquabus. According to the forums the addresses need to be set to 50 and 51... but I can't figure out how this is done... I have the older version of Aquasuite as the forums state and the PAs are connected via USB, but I can't see where abouts you set the addresses.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
LLucos.

Hi llucos,

Not sure about the fans, usually PWM fans default to full speed (100%) if they are not receiving a proper control signal.

As for Poweradjusts, as you already know, you need to use the older version of Aquasuite (4.72), connect each Poweradjust to USB (usually I do them one by one) and set the address under the Startboost and calibration values tab.

Kind regards,
Boris.

Thanks Boris
That has worked a treat!
As for the PWM fans,.. I wanted to check to see if anyone could provide any troubleshooting tips before I contacted the store.
