MultiSwitch 1.41 - LED Lights Output Set-Up Help

Mittwoch, 12. November 2014, 08:54

I finally have set up the Multiswitch as Shoggy recommended with AQ 6XT. Here was my procedure: ( At the end is my questions)
1. Loaded Aquasuite 2014 - 2.3 to PC.
2. Plugged in AC 6 XT using USB connection to MB and loaded no issues. Also loaded current Firmware 1036. Went well :) .
3. Removed AC 6XT and plugged Multiswitch to MB with USB. Windows loaded drivers, great. :) Note there was no Firmware update loaded nor did Aquasuite prompt to update Firmware :S
4. Reconnected AC 6 XT, and connected the Multiswitch via the Aquabus low speed plug on the AC 6 XT. Note: Jumper No. 5 was closed.
5. Booted up system. Aquaero runs just great. Aquasuite however shows no indication of the extra Switch Outputs & Relays within the "Outputs" portion of the Aquaero 6XT menu tab.

It should be noted that I connected one LED to the first plug (pins 1 &2) on the Multiswitch after a few attempts and there was not a difference in outcome on the Aquasuite Outputs tab as well. I also was very careful to power down and unplug the PC every time I switched plugs and added hardware items.
So if you have any suggestions, please help; that would be great. I am wondering why I can not get at least the Switch Outputs and Relays showing up as active. Also note I have 2 Ea.- MultiSwitch's and I get identical results, or should I say lack of results for each :( . Ultimately I want to confirm I can get the electronics working before I complete my system wiring and Aquacomputer system installation. Alternatively I may scrap the whole Multiswitch efforts entirely, but not without a strong effort put forth.

Thanks for your help (Sorry Shoggy, had to get some dialog started to this issue)

Make sure that you have used the aquasuite 4.72 when you checked the multiswitch. It must use the firmware 106.

I have no special recommendation here. The lowspeed devices have been always complicated to get them work correctly. Maybe you should forget about this since also the next aquaero firmware will no longer have support for the lowspeed aquabus.

aquasuite 4.72? I only see 2014-2.3. Are we talking the SDK version?

There is no "SDK version". You just read the box wrong ;) It is a head line for a group of downloads.

Oh, I see... and since aquasuite 4.72 is an older version than aquasuite 2014-2.3, and having an aquaero 5 xt in my aquaduct mk V XT, I should continue to use 2014-2.3.

Apologies to OP for slight hijack.
