MPS 400 not displaying any readings

Hi,
I've connected my new MPS 400 (53132) to an Aquaero 6 Pro (53145) along with a Aqua D5 pump (41093) both using USB to the motherboard and aquabus to the 6 Pro by using a Y splitter to the high speed port.
In Aquasuite 2015 the pump is all fine and the the MPS 400 is detected as a device but a) doesn't show any flow rate at all and b) Aquasuite doesn't hold any configuration changes I make like selecting the model, tubing size etc. In the sensors section there are Flow 1 and Flow 2 but no flow rates.
I've tried connecting just by USB, just Aquabus and both but with no success. I've disconnected the pump completely so I can set the flow to zero on the MPS 400 but that makes no difference and it doesn't hold any settings as described above.
I have the MPS mounted with the tubes vertically.

Any suggestions?

Ive read a bit the manual, it says it should be connected in a long line, meaning no corners at the edge, otherwise it doesnt function.

How do you have yours connected ?

Tube down from res in a straight line then another straight run to a rad.

I believe the "not function properly" if placed next to a angular fitrting at the inlet means errant readings... the sensor should still give readings though.

What aquabus address do you have the flow sensor set to?

Hi,
there are no angular fittings within 10cms of it.
pump is 12.
mps 400 is 13.

Looks like i'm going to have to strip it all out and check.

I had the same problem when I installed mine a year ago. Even now sometimes it won't display values. I came to the realization that the MPS 400 is buggy and you won't get it to work properly. I, like you, requested help from the forums and while someone tried to help me there were no working solutions. I believe the "high flow" sensor is the way to go if you want it to work properly but you may have to deal with the noise these can put out. Although I read somewhere that the noise only lasted a few days for most. I wouldn't know I still have the MPS 400. I hope this helps some, I'm not being critical just blatantly honest after all I went through with this sensor.

Thanks for the reply.
I can get a reading but only when the pump is >85% power which is just silly. Removed power from pump and went through the set current flow to zero but still no joy.
It seems better when I changed the aquabus address to 15 and the pump is on 12 - not sure why.
Is there any support from Aqua on this?

So, after all the investigations it's as simple as the MPS 400 doesn't report any flow below 80 lph which on my D5 loop requireds 85% power. Thanks to Sven from Aqua for the advice.

Thanks for reporting back. I also have a 400 that is about to get fired up... hopefully the loop will produce sufficient flow.

Holy What? What sort of loop are you running that could force a D5 that low at 85% power? I'm amazed.

I have one D5 on an average to small 3 block loop and even minimum power provides enough flow for a reading.
