Aquaero controlling RED LED (not RGB)

Samstag, 14. März 2015, 05:13

Can the aquaero control RED LED 5mm (not RGB, something like this) using the PWR 1/2 output ports?

If so, what is the connector I need to connect to the ports? Is it a normal 2 pin connector like the ones on the temperature sensors? Also, is there an adapter to convert from the 4-pin molex to the 2-pin I need to connect to the aquaero?

Sorry for the amount of questions :(

Thanks,

Jorge

Should work. I once temporarily did something similar with phobya LEDs which are pretty much the same thing.

I would use one of these: http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info…roducts_id=1629 to connect it to the pwm power and completely ditch the molex connector.

Just to confirm you can, indeed, control LED's through the output ports.

I'm controlling a couple of these: http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/produc…emy-led-strips/.

Brightness setting is a bit rough, but you can control it somewhat.

Kind regards,
Boris.

The 'Darkside' brand dimmable LED strips work very well with a good range of brightness on the Aquaero 2 pin PWM power ports
