Aquaduct 720: can I put it sidewise (horizontaly)?

Hello!
Need some advice. What do you think, can I put my Aquaduct 720 to the side (horizontaly, not verticaly)? Or is it forbbiden and it might break? ;(

I don't think it wise.

I believe the flow goes from bottom to top on the left side (facing the front), spills over to the right side at the top, and then feeds into the pump at the bottom.
If you were to lay it on the side, be sure to have the right side down so as to keep the chamber feeding the pump full. But I certainly would not do it.
