Aquacomputer Double Protect Ultra

I had a few questions based on this liquid since purchasing 2 5L Canisters.

Is this a biocide other then being a inhibitor? Meaning, will it kill any possible growth? I can't seem to find in any description that it is so. I purchased this premium priced liquid thinking it has not only corrosion inhibitors but also biocide for growth as other premium fluids have.

Will I need to throw the liquid in the canisters away that haven't been used yet after a year? Wondering if it has a high shelf life or not. I have opened one up and another is still sealed.

There is no biocide added since it is not necessary. The contained glycol already prevents anything from staying alive ;)

There is no problem to use the fluid after one year - also when it was already opened.

I bought the clear double protect ultra on Feb, 2015.. redid my loop on Dec 15, 2015.. The canister is stored away from sunlight in room temperature 25-30c depending on season, the fluid in the loop & in the canister is still good..

on a side note, I recall Sven mentioning as long as it doesn't smell funny, it's fine.. I don't have any fancy tools to test my liquid, so I rely purely on smell and color (clear)

I think nobody can really tell since it will be used before it reach such ages. If it is stored in a cool and dark place I assume that it will be OK for a few years.
