D5 NEXT Pump Not Turning On (DOA?)

Hi everyone, I just finished setting up my loop and started filling it, but my D5 NEXT is not turning on. The pump's SATA cable is connected to my PSU, the USB is connected to my motherboard, and the RGB is connected to my Ultitube's RGB ring. I bridged the pins on my motherboard, and the SATA and 24-pin motherboard cables are the only things connected to my PSU. When I turn the power supply on, the pump does not turn on and the screen on the controller does not light up at all. I tried pushing the buttons on the interface and re-seating the PSU plug. Is the pump dead on arrival, or is there something that I'm missing here? Thanks!

That the pump is not spinning is pretty suspicious because its 12V supply is hard-wired and should still work even if the controller unit is dead.

Check that the SATA plug of the controller unit is not loose (broken off). Also check that the interface plugs between the controller unit and pump are alright. It has to look like that.
