Aqua service stops monitoring under high load, is it by design?

I realized that when I stress test the CPU, in this case with OCCT, the Aqua service monitoring entities simply disappears.
On the Playground I have a Processor Core Temp input and I can see the value reported freezes.
After the set timeout the fallback value kicks in.

Is this by design?
