Tried searching but not quite finding the answer and maybe I'm searching/phrasing incorrectly.
I have an OCTO PWM controller setup, I have a coolant temp sensor wired to the OCTO, I have an alarm set to activate at X degrees C, and I can see the device go into alarm in both the AquaSuite software and the OCTO has a LED that flashes red to indicate alarm.
I have the alarm cable 53216 setup in-line with my power switch and I have the setting in AquaSuite configured for "Power switch, 1 second at alarm".
My problem is this - I want this to be a hardware shutdown. I do not want Windows to be sent a request to shutdown gracefully. In Windows Control Panel I have "press power button" configured to "do nothing".
If the OCTO is only sending a 1 second signal, this is not sufficient for a hard shutdown. What am I missing here? Just to confirm it is cabled correctly - I wired the alarm cable 53216 into my reset header and the OCTO does successfully restart my computer, but again, looking for an actual shutdown. My understanding is that a software shutdown can be further defined in "Playground" but again, I do not want this to be software based, and I do not want AquaSuite services to be running in the background.
I think all I want is to be able to send a signal longer than 1 second.
Appreciate any assistance and thanks for your help!
