-> Where are you? Add your GoogleEarth placemark

Mittwoch, 3. August 2005, 19:17

Hi folks,

since Google Earth is such a nice toy to play around with, some members of these forums startet to bring together their placemarks so everyone can see where they live.

I would like to encourage you all to add your placemarks to our directory at http://tmp.modforge.de/ac-placemarks/
You can see who's already listed and download each user's placemark seperately or a file that contains all users' placemarks. i recommend you use the .kmz variant of the latter since there is a common style with an icon included.

The whole thing might look like this:

If you like, you can visit the original thread and ask questions or add comments there.

Have fun! :)

The application behind the list, Placemark Directory, is now available for download.

BTW, some more entries from countries except Germany would be quite nice :)

Of course, we have quite some dogmatic Mac-users here (both on the AC board as well as in Germany :)).

Just updated the first posting with the new, current and presumably future URL of the placemark list.

Error: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'findtext'

I get this no matter what I do. :-( And, I'm both outside north america and europe!
