AC Fluid questions

Samstag, 30. Juni 2007, 10:31

From what we understand this is the main ingredient in AC Fluid. What I would like to know is whether this compound causes any scale buildup in pumps or other water cooling parts?

We are having a discussion of the benefits of using AC Fluid as opposed to using automotive based chemicals in a water cooling system and some guy is asserting that since it is phosphate based it causes problems. Also someone else says that AC Fluid has eaten up o-ring material from one of your competitors. I can't see why that would occur since the free acid is only 3% of AC Fluid and when mixed according to instructions it has to be less than a .01 %.

Also do you know what the decrease is of water cooling efficiency when mixed as directed?

No that one is not the one I'm talking about (I think that one is about to die out). It actually is one on another forum that I started about the Aquaduct. Unfortunately it got locked today because they didn't appreciate the issues of aluminum in a water cooling circuit. ;) However, I think the subject will come up again and would like the information if you wouldn't mind?

BTW, I have been playing around with the Power part of the Aquasuite and would like to know if the calculations are based on pure distilled water or a 2% mix of AC Fluid in distilled water?
