My build + Pls feedback

Donnerstag, 22. Mai 2008, 17:07

As the title says this is my build :D

So i was away for a while playing in the sand (Sure some can figure out what that means.) And now im back but my PC before i left was stock fan cooled and i had tons of bits and bobs for WC lying around everywhere, Thus decided it was time to rebuild!

My system :-

AreoCool tower (Sht i know)
2 x Raptor 33GB HDD's
AM2N32 SLI Mobo
6400X DualCore AMD
4 GB Ram (Model and speed i dont know LOL)
1 x 8800 GTX Ultra 768MB (I know only 1)

Ok to understand me you have to know the game "EvE Online" which on there i am known as "AGIF" thus this is my system with Monitors etc :-

So as you can see more monitors = More Characters i can control in the game.

So i started my build here is a snap before i begin :-

As you can see its a lovely mess :P

Here is the new parts i ordered :-

One thing about this is that the delivery was missing the voltage reg coolers but there unavail atm and shoggy knows im inpatient :P So i did the build anyway and had to cut the connection to the SB & NB to allow for the install as you will see here next :-

So i now have to bastardise the chasis of the Front bays to get the rad and Res in :-

Now for some ram cooling :)

Then amongst all the mess on the floor :-

I found a 120 Rad and noticed it will fit in :P

So all thats left now is Fitting tubes and filling the baby up :)

As you can see its very crampt and i hate the tower but my next build will be in a new tower and here is a list of things that will be added.

2 x Dual HDD Coolers
1 x 240 Rad
1 X Res
2 x VRC (Voltage reg coolers)
1 x 8800 GTX Ultra
2 x Coolers for GTX coolers

I could infact get all this in except for the HDD coolers so will see what happens but im not keen on the case so it will probably end up on a rubbish tip somewhere or il have a Bonfire...

Thanks to AC for awesome Products! My Temp dropped on the CPU From 62C+ Loaded to 36/37 Loaded :P

Thanks for reading and any feedback i would really appreciate.

I prefer Cubes as the ultimate WC-Cases.
The "2 chambers" give you the ability to spread the Case in two termal zones. one "hot" for the main Hardware and one "cold" with a lot of fresh air for the Radiator and HDD's. Also you have a lot of Space in there to set up two Loops.
Sorry das ich anstaat ein h ein n geschriben habe !!!

Yeah been looking at a few and i think im almost 100% going to go with a cube Case.

Thanks for the idea :)

Looks nice, and great temperature drops. :-)

I got the Stacker STC-01, but I have just as little room left-over, as you have in yours, and I have only E6750, RAM without WC, water on my X1950XTX, CPU, NB, SB and my 74GB Raptor (single silentstar hdd cooler).
I have two loops:
2*240mm radi
1*120mm radi
Swiftech Storm CPU-block
EK-X1800/X1900 GFX block
2* EK-NB/SB 3a on chipsets
2*mosfet blocks

This results in just as much cramming as in your case.

The only alternative I have, is the TT Mozart case, but I havn't got time to buy it, and change my system over to it yet.

But great job you've done here.

OK my temp drops were temporary until the heat here in germany really picked up.

My CPU is loaded at 55C and idle at around 47C

Case temp is also around the same. I noticed the only thing produceing heat in there was my 8800GTX Ultra so i need to install the 2nd loop and chill that fooker.

Someone mentioned a Cube style case with 2 chambers. I cant find any using Google (I must be retarded).

Can someone please if you know of any pls help me find a Cube style case with this mentioned 2 chamber style or even a case worth using etc :)

Thnx alot

you can look carefully @ the nzxt gamig cube. This cube is capable of holding a normal atx mainboard.

Normally you have a problem with a cube and a full size atx mobo.

Ok decided i might as well go all out and buy one of these :-

And just have a 3 Flow system instead of 2 and by doing that i will just have all the fans on a 5w setting...

I think i would get good results this way and also keep noise down alot too.

If you know of any other styles let me know which may be suited...

Your input pls?

The Coolermaster Cosmos S is a bit similar, but not really. For a watercooling Setup it is one of the perfect cases, but definitly to expensive.

Mountainmods.com should be your site
