SDK and x64 systems

Donnerstag, 16. April 2009, 21:45

When trying to start the 'aquastream_demo.csproj' in VS 2008, it errors with:

System.BadImageFormatException was unhandled
Message="Could not load file or assembly 'USB, Version=2.0.3189.17769, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format."
Source="aquastream_demo"

I've got a feeling that the x64 bit system I'm running on is the problem, but surely the SDK should work with x64.

I'm hoping to make a background app that can determine if the pump is working. The aquaastreamXT unfortunately will, about every 20 times, fail to work (Aquasuite reports doubling of power to 12W and the flowmeter shows zero). This would not be such a problem if I could get a warning. Therefore the SDK.

This might be impossible, else I would really like to get the SDK working. Thanks.

If the pump works the water temperature never exceeds 52C.

Oh, that is brilliant.

No offense, actually I am really impressed by aquas products. If the pump works the water temperature never exceeds 52C - that for EN8800GTS graphic, 4-core overclocked (3.4G) QX9650 + MB chipset +HD. All with a passive radiator -with a throughput of 43l/h.

Problem is, I can never be certain that the pump will work - this has led to gpu temps of around 87C during those times i have'nt noticed the pump failing. And that is the main problem.

The shop where i bought the pump will not sell me another - if I can send it back if it has the same problem.

I cannot even flash the thing, cos my MB has no // port, and believe me (regardless of what the aqua engineers say, a PCI card does NOT work). I will buy another anyway, i have no choice - but i guess if anyone else has the same prob. (Asus P5E3 + Vistax64) where, about every 20 times the pump will not start properly....in that case i will not buy a 2nd pump.

Thanks for any input.

Let me see if I understood correctly... your pumps stops every 20 minutes and fails to start again?

It sounds to me like it fails to start once in twenty attempts. Sort of like a starter does when it stops on a flat spot and needs to be coaxed into starting by tapping the housing.

My eheim pumps in tthe fish tanks do this on occasion and need to be cleaned. Just be careful when taking the impeller out and putting it back in that you don't break it as the magnet will pull it from your grip if you are not prepared for it. The ceramic is brittle.

Sounds to me like you still got a bit of air in your loop.
