Miranda Profile

Hi Leute,
ich hatte mir bei der Installation aus Versehen einmal 2 Profile erstellt, nun will ich aber nur eins haben. Denn nach jedem hochfahren fragt er mich am Anfang welches Profil ich verwenden möchte. Kann man das irgendwie ausstellen, hab keine Ooption gefunden.

weißt du überhaupt was miranda ist ? - ich denke nicht :

@topic: pro profil legt miranda eine *.dat datei an im Installationsverzeichnis von miranda. lösche einfach die *.dat die du nicht mehr brauchst.
wenn du allerdings beide profile zu einem machen willst kann ich dir nicht helfen

dann solltest du eigentlich wissen dass (de)installieren bei nem programm wie miranda witzlos is

i würd ma gugge dass i das zweite profil schlicht und ergreifend lösch

Hmm allerdings finde ich im Miranda Verzeichnis keine *.dat Datei, nur im Eigene Dateien Ordner, und da auch nur eine einzige. Mirandaprofile.dat, eines meiner Profile heisst "Marc", eines "profile". Nur wie soll ich jetzt profile löschen, dann lösch ich wohl beide weil es nur eine dat Datei gibt

Naja ab morgen bin ich im Urlaub, wäre trotzdem nett wenn ihr noch ne Antwort parat habt, sonst muss ich es halt wirklich mal löschen und neu installieren, da war ich noch gar nicht drauf gekommen, wie einfach das Leben doch sein ;D

so einfach ist das leben leider gar nicht, denn beim deinstallieren wird das profil wahrscheinlich nicht gelöscht. bevor du also die brutal-deinstall-variante ausprobierst, lösch lieber das ganze profilzeugs in deinen eigenen dateien und start miranda dann neu, vllt legt er dann ein neues profil an.

ähhh ? besser nicht ?! dann löscht er schliesslich alles was es an profilen gibt also BEIDE und dann hat er NIX :

normalerweise legt miranda aber wirklich im install dir eine profilname.dat an.. komisch

so folgendes:
mach im miranda dir die mirandaboot.ini auf
da kannst du einstellen dass er den profilmanager nie anzeigen soll UND du kannst einstellen mit welchem profil er default starten soll.

wie messiah schon sagte gibts für jedes profil eine datei <profilname>.dat, die man afaik auch einfach umbenennen kann, um das profil an sich umzubenennen. wenn man die löscht, sind se weg, wenn man sie kopiert, kann man sie mit weiteren mirandainstallationen z.b. auf anderen rechnern nutzen.

in der mirandaboot.ini kann man auch einstellen, ob er bei einem profil direkt starten soll, ansonsten den profilmanager zur auswahl anzeigen ("smart"). das ist wohl auch der default, d.h. wenn man ein zweites profil anlegen möchte, kann man das (temporär) von "smart" auf "always" umstellen und hat wieder den dialog.

hmm, bei mir sind sie noch direkt im programmverzeichnis. und ich benutze ne cvs-version...
