aquaero 6 + cuplex cryos with vision interconnnect

Dienstag, 21. Juli 2020, 10:39

Hello,
i have a cuplex cryos block with vision and aquaero 6 lt, i wonder how do i connect them - i want the temp from the cpu block to be forwarded to aquaero and based on the temp aquaero would control the fans.
From what i read i understand there are two ways:
1) connect the two directly with aquabus
2) connect the two via usb on mobo.
My questions to these two points:
ad 1) i seem to have only usb cable going from the cpu block, it has 5 pins... can i (how do i) change it to aquabus (4 pin?)
ad 2) i succeeded to do this in aquasuite, so that the temp from cpu block is forwarded to aquaero. does this connection need aqua suite to be running? i mean - when i will boot to Linux - will the forwarding still work?

Many thanks,
Mojmir

You do not change the cable on the block, you have to add one ;)

To remove the VISION module you have to insert a bent paper clip into the hole near the edge of the display. This will release a latch underneath. Here is a drawing to get a better idea:

The aquabus connection works independently from the system. There is no need to have Windows or the aquasuite running in the background.

If you connect only USB and want to transfer the data this way, then you need Windows. A background service will transfer the data between both devices.
