Can aquaero 6 xt calculate virtual sensors without persistent USB connection?

Hi all

First of all things; I apologize if this question is too simple or simply unsupported by the product, I just have been trying to debug this for a while now and I am seeking for expert guidance on this topic.
In short, I have an aquaero 6 xt running a fan curve based on a virtual sensor made from the delta of a water sensor + ambient temperature and it works just fine as long as the USB connection is plugged in and working. The USB connection is plugged in pretty much always, my computer runs on linux and I have to control the aquaero via aquasuite using a virtual machine and USB pass-through (which works pretty fine); in other words, when I shutdown the VM, the USB power is maintained, just there is no connection with aquasuite.
So the problem is:
After shutting down the VM, some minutes after, the aquaero seems to forget about calculating the virtual sensor using the inputs; from the LCD panel I can observe that both my water and ambient sensors report the correct value, but the virtual one I made falls back to 50°C, no longer calculating the delta.

My question is: without the aquasuite, it is expected for the aquaero to lose the ability to calculate? (as in calculation happens in aquasuite and not on the aquaero)

or

What I am missing to make that virtual sensor calculation persistent without the aquasuite software?
Thanks in advance!

if you are calculating the virtual sensor using the Playground function of the aquasuite, you will loose the virtual sensor when USB goes away.

Fortunately, the aquaero 6 has an internal virtual sensor calculator that should work for you. It is not as powerful as the Playground, but it will do a delta.

Ah! That works perfectly :) thanks to your response I was able to understand the fallback tempretaure and fallback timer settings on the Software sensor I made on Playground. Will use the embedded delta function for Virtual ones.

Thanks!
