D5 Next Issue

Wednesday, April 6th 2022, 5:00pm

Hello, I've had my d5 next up and running for about 3 days now and it has been running smooth up until I woke up today. It's display is constantly switching between screens and I can't seem to get it to stop. It's also making the screen switch audio every half seconds which is driving me nuts.

All the firmware is fully up to date and the only temp fix is to fully shut off my computer, reboot it but eventually it starts again after 10 minutes or so.

Any ideas?

Have you tried fully powering down, turning the power supply off or removing the power cord for a few minutes then rebooting? This will force everything to reinitialize.

That worked for about a minute then it started doing it again.
Turning the Key Lock option on has fixed it. Not sure what would be causing it tho?

Are you running Aquasuite version X.53? It was released 2 days ago to replace X.52 which had a bug that was discovered after release. X.53 includes D5 Next firmware version 1023.

Maybe a physical button on the D5 Next Display is broken or stuck?

Doesn't appear to be stuck or broken tbh

What is the Key Lock option? Sorry - I don't have a D5 Next (wish I did). I searched the owner's manual but could not find any reference to a "Key Lock". Whatever it is, since enabling it stops the problem, it may indicate what the problem actually is. Sorry I can't be more help. Hopefully a Mod or someone who actually has a D5 Next can chime in here. Good luck!

I had this happen to me on one where I accidentally had a large leak pour coolant all over the controller. I think that ended up breaking something on the board because the problem was still there when I tested it again. One of these days, I'll take a look inside and see what I need to replace.

Ahh that sucks man. Fortunately for me I haven't had any leaks and pray I don't get any.
