Ampinel Aquacomputer will not fit my GPU. Is a 12vhpwr cable extender suitable?

Montag, 10. August 2026, 14:36

Ampinel Aquacomputer A/B will not fit my card due to tall CPU heat sink. Is it advisable to use a 12vhpwr cable extender in between my GPU and the Ampinel Aquacomputer?
So the chain would be; GPU > 12vhpwr cable extender > Ampinel Aquacomputer > GPU to PSU 12vhpwr adapter (the multi connector that came with the GPU) > PSU
Would that work? I 'd really appreciate some advice
Thanks. :)

That would work but is not recommend as it can increase the contact resistance and also adds another point of possible failure.

Do you have your GPU under water?
If so, you may be able to use an "A" instead of a "B" connector (or vice versa) and have the cable run on the other side of the GPU (LINK)
If air cooled it probably will not work as the cooler is too thick

time to switch from a big CPU Fan cooler to a smaller CPU AIO Watercooler. :)

I see, but would the device still work as intended?
